Environmentally-sound ozonated cold water
can replace traditional hot water and chemical surface sanitation
for agricultural, food handling, bottling, brewing and manufacturing
operations. Some of the many benefits are:
- Reduced chemical use: Saves
money, surface and equipment deterioration, and decreases environmental
and health hazards.
- Reduced hot water usage: Saves
cost of heating water, and heat-up and cool-down time.
- More effective: Ozone kills
all known bacteria, virus, mold, yeast, mildew and fungus faster
than hot water or chlorine. Plus, microorganisms cannot build up
a tolerance to activated oxygen as they do to chlorine.
In the last quarter of 2003, AOE will be introducing a surface sanitation system
using ozone in a foam solution. Foaming keeps ozone in solution for a longer
period of time, which improves the contact time essential for decontamination.
